Protection of Personal Information Act
The President of South Africa has proclaimed the Protection of Personal Information Act, Act 4 of 2013 (“POPI”) commencement date to be 1 July 2020. In summary, the purpose of the Act is to protect personal information of individuals and entities from wrongful, adverse or unlawful use. PetroSA subscribes to the prescripts of the POPI Act and will endeavour not to divulge any personal information of natural persons and where applicable, an identifiable , existing juristic person, including but not limited to; age, identity document number, race, gender and name, unless required by law. We assure our Stakeholder, Users, Clients, Suppliers and Employees that information provided by them is handled accordingly.
